The Bridgeway Group continues to support individuals and organizations in conflict-affected environments to develop more innovative ways to manage conflict. As we reflect on our history and our program work, we are excited to share our successes with you. Thank you for your contribution to our mission!

(1) The Bridgeway Group has partnered with the World Health Organization’s Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) Division to develop guidance and tools to build the capacity of national antimicrobial resistance (AMR) committee members in countries around the world in consensus building, negotiation, conflict management, and coordination skills. The partnership contributes to WHO’s efforts to enhance collaboration within and across multiple sectors at the national level, with the goal of helping WHO tackle AMR across the globe. To date, the partnership has produced an extensive literature review on approaches to addressing AMR; a pilot training program in effective leadership and multisectoral collaboration skills, tested in three countries; revised guidance and tools to build the capacity of national stakeholders; and has now rolled out training in 3 regional offices and in 3 member states.

(2) The Bridgeway Group supports the work of the John Sloan Dickey Center for International Understanding at Dartmouth College through the organization of day-long seminars and simulations for the Center’s Great Issue Scholars and Global Health Fellows. The simulations focus on managing multistakeholder dialogue to effectively address global public health challenges. This informal partnership with the Dickey Center permits the Bridgeway Group to support the emergence of the next generation of global leaders and expand their knowledge of negotiation and conflict resolution frameworks.

Throughout our history, we have worked hard to provide long-term capacity building for the effective, sustainable, and non-violent management of social and community conflict in contexts as diverse as high schools Massachusetts (USA) with UNAGB to Morocco’s High Atlas Mountains with the Open Hands Initiative and the High Atlas Foundation; from the urban neighborhoods of strife-torn Burundi with the BLTP to policy debates and think tanks in Armenia.

This promises to be an intense and exciting decade for the Bridgeway Group.
