Meenakshi Chakraverti is Director of Public Conversations West (PCWest), a branch of the Public Conversations Project (PCP). Meenakshi brings to her role as Director her experience in economic research, grassroots community work, ethnographic research, and business entrepreneurship, in addition to over ten years of work with PCP. Meenakshi also has responsibility for International Initiatives at the Public Conversations Project. Meenakshi has worked with a wide variety of leaders and communities, including US stakeholders around energy policy, global leadership on conflict prevention and recovery, Ethiopian parliamentarians, Israeli and Palestinian journalists, city and county government within the US, students at various American universities, mid-career fellows at Princeton University, community leaders in Flint, Michigan, and Burundian facilitators. Meenakshi has taught at the Graduate School of International Relations and Pacific Studies, University of California, San Diego and the Woodrow Wilson School, Princeton University. She has a Bachelor’s degree from Wellesley College, a Master’s in Public Affairs from Princeton University, and a doctorate in social anthropology from Cornell University.
